Just wanted to share what this week has brought. The beginning of the week, when the worms were supposed to get to my small intestine, I had more liquid diarrhea, my fever and night sweats returned (though fever was just 99.6-100) and during the day, I felt exhausted. This lasted for about 4 days.
Now, the last 4 nights I’ve had no night sweats, 2 nights in a row I only had to get up once to pee- NO DIARRHEA AT NIGHT! and during the day, all bowel movements have become soft, but solid, except for the first part. I did have 1 diarrhea last night, but hardly any.
The fever is gone, and best of all, the intense pain in the ileal area (where I was afraid a blockage was forming) is all but gone; I guess it was inflammation the whole time.
The negative, is I am absolutely exhausted, my bones hurt, my muscles ache, I feel like I’m 400 pounds. Just getting from one room to another takes will and motivation. I also somehow hurt my ankle, so I’m walking around like a Grandma, getting nothing done.
But I’m pleased by my bowel improvements, which shouldn’t even be happening yet. I know it will probably be up and down, but to have liquid diarrhea turn to soft is wonderful, and my appetite is large and I have added a few new items to my diet (chocolate and green beans) and so far, I’m only getting better.
Looking forward to another inoculation; I only got 10 larvae, and if 10 can do so much already, I wonder what working up to 50 will bring?
Anyway, it will be nice when the aches and feelings of heaviness go away. If it weren’t for that and my ankle, I’d be doing pretty well.
