Waiting for the Cure

All right, ladies and gentleman. Let the party begin.

I just got back from UCSF. I took a blood test 2 days before getting
inoculated, then again at 4.5 months. Drumroll please;

BEFORE (Dec. 17, 2007)

C-Reactive Protein (normal: <.8) 5.4
ESR (normal 0-20) 31

AFTER (April 25, 2008)

C-Reactive Protein .9
ESR 7

CRP and ESR are measures of inflammation in the body. So according to
these tests I HAVE NO INFLAMMATION!!!

The weird thing is I still have symptoms that need improvement, but
I’m hoping perhaps my bowel flora is messed up and that will take time
to improve, or maybe there is still tissue healing, or maybe the added
cohorts are causing havok. (But not inflammation.)

I am in a state of shock. I expected the blood tests to be about half
way better, not this good. I also have very, very low iron (I had
this before the hookworm) so that is why I am probably so fatigued.

Everyone’s invited to my house for a night of total gluttony and
celebration. Then I’ll travel the world.
