I really hope I’m just having intestinal side effects to the new larvae laying eggs. It’s so hard with Crohn’s to know what’s a reaction to therapy and what’s just another bad week.
So, between weeks 5 and 6 I had my rash itch for about 5 days. This is the time that gas increased and bowel movements started to get sloppier. Week 7, I just felt sick. Fluish, dizzy, nauseous. I wasn’t that hungry and I kept checking my temperature, thinking I was getting the flu. But I never had more than a 99.2 fever in the afternoon, which is probably my normal. I’ve had more mucus, and more liquidy bowel movements. Increase in smell as well. Very, very fatigued, more abdominal pain, anxiety, weeping.
I am precisely at week 8 right now and will take a blood test today. I wish I had my equipment together to do an egg count – I suspect they started egg laying between weeks 5 and 6. I should be up and running within this week. I looked at the Nottingham dose ranging study again, and I am in the precise time for abdominal discomfort, although that was a first infection for everyone. I’m noticing that for reinfections, by week 6 things usually really start to regress; last year, they just never got better. This also may be the time that the immune response with eosinophelia curtails some of the worms from attaching. I’ll be curious whether or not my infection takes this time, and when attrition starts to happen.
It was fun feeling good weeks 3 and 4. I only wish it had lasted.
